In case you couldn’t guess it, at Ayva’s daycare, I’m that mom. You know the one. The mom who brings gifts for all of the kids for every holiday, big or small. The mom who always suggests books and themes (by bringing in said books and materials for said themes)…you know…that mom.

So now that summer is approaching, I’m that mom who brings in popsicles and ice cream as a special treat for the kids. Don’t judge me…I encourage healthy eating all the time, but I think a sweet treat every once in awhile is fine! Since last week was so hot and it really started to feel like summer, I wanted to get the kids in Ayva’s class a yummy ice cream treat to celebrate the start of summer.
Ayva and I headed to Walmart to check out their selection of Nestlé products. We headed straight to the refrigerator/freezer section to see what they had. First, I was pleasantly surprised that our milk was a dollar less than the grocery store! Organic milk is usually more expensive, but this was a pretty good price! I have to get on my couponing game to lower the price even more!
We went over to the ice cream aisle, and while we didn’t have a lot to chose from, they did have Nestlé Drumsticks, and they are always good!
I picked up a box of the Nestlé Drumsticks, and Ayva and I went to share them with her friends at daycare.
Yummy ice cream! (As you can imagine, they couldn’t eat it all!)
COLD!!!
Ayva and her friends loved their ice cream treat…just in time to welcome the summer!
