Saving Money at Bottom Dollar Food

When the TLC show, Extreme Couponing, first premiered, I can’t even start to tell you how excited I was! I’m a pretty bargain conscious shopper, and although I never really got the hang of using coupons in an extreme way, I’m always on the lookout for deals. That’s why I was interested in checking out the new Bottom Dollar grocery store here in Philly.
Often, when I go to supermarkets that like to brag about how low their prices are, there’s much to be desired in the actual selection of food. The produce section (if there is one) is sad and lacking color, and it’s rare to see some of the brands that I love. At Bottom Dollar, however, I was pleased to discover that wasn’t the case!
As soon as I walked into the market, I was greeted by a huge display of my absolute favorite detergent on sale for lower than I’ve ever seen it! I knew right then that this was a different type of grocery store. From the walk-in produce section filled with colorful fruits and vegetables, to the neatly stocked shelves that held my favorite brands, Bottom Dollar felt very familiar…like any other grocery store that I’d shop in regularly.
And I will shop there regularly. For $50, I was able to get a cart full of fresh produce, yummy treats, and stock up on diapers. The friendly cashier who pleasantly informed me that Bottom Dollar accepts coupons, and encouraged me to check out their Facebook page for weekly savings as I was checking out, was just icing on the cake!

*Disclosure – I received a Bottom Dollar gift card in order to review this store, but all opinions are my own.
